I get to know Runrig in 1996 when I was in Scotland as an exchange student. I was impressed by the music and the love for Scotland it expresses. Back in Germany I still listen to the music and when I heard that the band will have a new singer from Canada, I wasn't sure whether he will fit into this very Scottish ensemble. But what a surprise, his voice gave a new dimension to the music of Runrig. His voice was amazing and it seems that the songs are even more impressive than before. Seeing Bruce in a concert was a special experience. There was a strong bond between the band and the audience and Bruce managed to play with our love and enthusiasm. The music and his words lifted our hearts, heals our souls and give us a peace of happyness. And now this voice is silent forever, but in our hearts we still carry a piece of it and will never forget. There is a saying, that someone is only really dead when noone remember him anymore. Bruce will live forever, the music and the memories stay with us.
