It is normal to record kind messages when someone passes away, but with Bruce I have honestly never encountered such depth of love and total repect for the man, and such genuine and heartfelt sorrow at his passing. He brought a wealth of joy, comfort and inspiration to so many people, myself included, who could only sit back and wonder where that heaven-blessed voice came from. It was surely a once-in-a-generation phenomenon. The treasury of his recordings will ensure his legacy will live on in our hearts. I can't begin to imagine the family's pain at his loss, but I hope that knowing how much he was loved and respected will bring you a little comfort.
