We discovered Runrig in 1988, have seen them many times over the years and each performance was so energetic, inspiring, uplifting. I introduced others to them. The first time I heard Bruce was in Bristol, wondering how it would be with a new singer. We need not have worried - such an amazing voice, such energy on the stage. The last time we saw the band live was Edinburgh Castle and that was a truly magical evening, we stood together singing along to Hearts of Olden Glory… sadly my husband died quite unexpectedly a year ago and we played that at his funeral. I’ve shed many tears over the last few days listening to tributes and remembering. RIP Bruce, you have left such a mark on so many lives, my thoughts are with your family and the band at such a sad time x
