Words can't describe the impact that Runrig and particularly Bruce have had on my life. As a Runrig fan since the mid 80s, I was amazed when the band found someone with such a distinctive and unique voice as Bruce to take on the mantel of lead singer. He put his stamp on the old songs, making them his own and helped steered the band in a new and exciting direction. They say never meet your heroes, but having been fortunately to meet Bruce a few times over the years, the man was every bit as charming, friendly and engaging off the stage as on. As we all grieve for the loss of this humble gentleman, I'm just thankful for the legacy he has left us. "Thig crìoch air an t-saoghal, ach mairidh gaol is ceòl" (The world will end, but love and music will endure.)
