Book of golden stories was the beginning of my journey with Runrig and Bruce. In 2001 they appeared on television in the show Money or Love. Bruce immediately enchanted me with his voice. I immediately booked the next concert in Cologne. It was even recorded (Rockpalast). From then on I bought a lot of CDs. DVDs, t-shirts and other promotional items. I absolutely fell in love with the band and their music. When I met my boyfriend Carsten in 2002 (we married in 2006), I infected him with my love for Runrig. From then on we were able to enjoy many concerts together in the following years. My husband gave me the best surprise when he spontaneously picked me up from work on August 17th, 2018 and we flew to Edinburgh to take part in the last dance at Striling Castle on August 18th, 2018. It was so beautiful and yet sad at the same time. The moment when the birds flew over the square while singing “going home” was very emotional, almost magical. In 2019 we were able to see Bruce live again with his children on their Christmas tour through Germany. We never thought this would be the last time we would see Bruce live. When we received the news that Bruce died on September 5th, 2023, we were immediately overcome by great sadness and a kind of shock. The emotions are just as great as at the last dance 2018. Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Kim and his children Jodi and Dylan. Rest in peace Bruce. You will not be forgotten. Your music and voice live on in our hearts. Memories are everything.
