John….Balloch 13th September 2023

Although I first saw Runrig live in the mid-80s, in a venue in Wick, it was only in 2002 that I started going to see them live on a regular basis. Venues like Celtic Connections, with my broken shoulder, but still managed to dance near the stage.. Glasgow, Stirling Castle (with a friend on crutches), Drumnadrochit (where the waterproofs got soaked through), Edinburgh Castle, Berlin (in the year I lost both my parents, 2010, and when Bruce was singing Every River, my tears started streaming down, then for the Final Mile - Berlin again, such a great venue, and Stirling for the Last Dance, took a friend who had never seen the band live before, she loved it. And finally, the emotion of the screening of the Last Dance in Glasgow, what a joyful and sad night that was, with the guys singing on stage at the end. Bruce, thankyou for the music. I have all the albums on my USB stick in the car, they are played every day on my way to and from work…from Balloch to Stirling and back..so I see the castle twice a day on my journey, and remember the good times. Thanks and god bless.
