Bruce, I am so saddening to hear of your passing. My heart is broken and I cannot imagine what Kim, Dylan and Jodi are feeling right now, my thoughts, love and prayers are with you all. Runrig, have been part of my life for nearly 40 years. Some people may not understand how devastated I feel with Bruce’s death, but this band has been there through all the good times and some very dark times, the songs really are part of my whole being. I have been to so many concerts, the big ones; Loch Lomond, Edinburgh Castle, Drumnadrochit (Beat the Drum), 30th Anniversary at Stirling Castle, 40th Anniversary at Black Isle Show Ground, New York. The Smaller venues; Eden Court, Inverness Ice Rink, The Big Top in Oban and Inverness, Portee, Stornoway, and many many others. All of the above brought us to an amazing, emotional farewell, and the biggest celebration of everything that Runrig was…….Saturday Night at Stirling for The Last Dance, and boy did we Dance One Last Time. I have watched the Last Dance DVD many times and can never watch without crying, The last time I watched was last month for the 5th Anniversary of the concert. The next time I watch with Bruce no longer with us, will be almost unbearable, but watch I will, not yet, but when I am ready, and the good times, the memories, the amazing fun times will be remembered. Bruce was such a talented man, and fitted in so well with Runrig and sung the songs beautifully. During lockdown Bruce did his song writers circles via Zoom, from his own home. I loved being able to watch these, as living in England (though I come from the Highlands of Scotland) I would never have been able to go and see any of these live. It was great to hear so many musicians, who I had never heard before and of course Bruce, Dylan and Jodi doing what they do best. My Heartfelt thanks to Bruce, who gave us 20 more years of Runrig, and with that many memories which will last a lifetime. Taken way too soon. Bruce ….We Will Remember ! Keep singing your songs in Heaven, my mum and dad will be there in the audience. Kim, Dylan and Jodi, thank you for letting us share a little of your husband/dad. God Bless You all xx
