Dear Kim , Dylan and Jodie . All of Bruce's close family and friends my heartfelt prayers go out to you all at this time . There are so many lovely messages to read through here and it's great to read people's personal memories. For me I grew up listening to runrig , runrig was part of our family music since I was a child and being from Lewis and hearing Gaelic lyrics in the songs just made me so much more connected with the music than any other band and to know they would sing about our beautiful Island :) . At 18 I would walk to college and I remember playing on repeat' big sky ' that was a favourite for me along with heart hammer the way Bruce would sing these songs from his heart . Over the years I saw runrig play at or local fest , heb celt festival where I would go and watch with my family. . I really enjoyed all their music , their singing the amazing voice of Bruce Guthro, all live , every talent guitar drums everything these guys put it all in . I saw them play in Glasgow and Inverness. For me the song Bruce sang solo at the last dance is the song that touched my heart the most ' the year of the flood' he sang this from the heart it was slowed down and truly beautiful. At the time my dad was terminally sick and this song got me through these dark times I would listen on repeat . I believed in the spiritual side of the song there was spiritual meaning in their songs and I knew Bruce was a man of God by the way he sang it . Just wish to thank him for touching my heart with this . j He commented at the start before he sang he said life was hard full of difficulty and that you just keep on walking . Will see you one day dear brother. He touched many lives I am sure. For you as a family it must be lovely to read these stories but hard at the same time too . You have so many precious memories of your own. I just wish again to pass on my thoughts and prayers to you at a very painful time . God bless Kim
