Our journey with Runrig

Rest in peace, Bruce Guthro 💔
It was on TV that my mother got to know the band when she was amazed by one of Runrig's countless live performances. She had bought almost every album after that night and she could sing along the lyrics of literally every song. The first album, I listened to, was "In Search Of Angels" and I began to also love Runrig. Bruce's warm voice was maybe what got me the most. Later, my mother and I visited our first Runrig concert and we loved what we saw and heard. Some more venues followed for me and some albums followed for my mother. It was in 2016, when the ultimate Runrig album, "The Story" was published. My mother was in the hospital that time and listened to the new songs from her bed. When she passed in May, it was Runrig's music that she listened to. Of course, wet also decided to play a song at her funeral. It was "Hearts Of Olden Glory". I would have never thought that I would be writing these lines with tears in my eyes only seven years later. Already after the final tour, I was sad for this was the last Runrig live event forever. Bruce's passing seals this finality even more.
Thank you for sharing your music with all of us and for making me love this music so deeply.
~There must be a place, where hearts of olden glory grow young~
I believe it is where you are now.
Rest in peace, Bruce Guthro 💔
