I heard Runrig for the first time in 1992 and I became a fan of Runrig. It wasn’t a huge thing, though, at the time.
Then Bruce joined the band and it all changed. That voice could spellbind an audience, for sure. Also, Runrig became more of a group, and it was nice to see that. It was a unity now. After that, i became an avid fan of Runrig as well as Bruce solo, going to a lot of concerts.
We were lucky that Bruce came to our part of Denmark quite often for regular concerts as well as Christmas concerts. It was at those solo concerts that his great sense of humour really emerged, making the concerts even better.
He made an impact on a lot of people, and my heart hurts with the thought of Bruce’s departure. As goes for a lot of fans. He was special.
But yours must hurt even more. Losing a husband, father, friend.
I send my sincere condolences to Kim, Jodi and Dylan as well as his friends and family. Thank you for sharing him with us. He meant a lot to us.
