Covid connected us to Bruce and Runrig

Created by Bill one year ago

It was during Covid seclusion days when no one could go out to do almost anything that we heard of Bruce’s Songwriters Circles online. The clincher to join was when  we read about the many guests he was featuring on his “ program “, .  We are from Atlantic Canada and Bruce’s guest were no strangers to our ears when most were from our area. It was a treat to see them in this setting every other Friday!
one of Bruce’s guests in one of his shows was Iain of Runrig. We had no clue who this band was. Bruce kept taking about the places he sang with the band.Wait.What? That’s how we got introduced to Runrig, a few years after the The Last Dance at Stirling Castle. The good news is we are total fans now although much too late to enjoy live performances. Our Last Dance DVD has become a cherished addition to our collection and it hurts to watch it now knowing the outcome of this past week.
Bruce has touched our lives in a very positive way musically. We have read the testaments of the band members and everyone’s thoughts are practically the same, he was acceped from day one and his contribution mattered to the point of making the band better than it ever was. That is Bruce’s legacy. Little wonder, he is a Cape Bretoner!
our sincere condolences to Kim, Jodi and Dylan.
