From the moment Bruce walked onto the stage in Manchester in 1998 to the final time we met in Manchester in 2018, I was lucky enough to enjoy and sing a long with our incredible front man right across the UK. A favourite memory is a bloopers, sorry Bruce. I can't remember the venue but he was singing edge of the world and he forgot the words, this was early in his Runrig career. Of course, the fans sang the correct words. When it finished he looked out, laughed and said 'the problem with these songs, is that you know all the bloody words'. (Paraphrased slightly). He grew into the band and the Runrig family, helping it grow and get stronger with every album.
Thank you for enduring the many long trips across the ocean, byt believe me when I say, we appreciated every one, you lifted us, you helped us, you gave us more than you'll ever know. Sleep well Bruce, and to Kim, Jodie and Dylan I send you my love from Northern Ireland.
