Whenever Bruce sang "big sky above me" my wee staffie girl Skye waggled her little feet. She died at only seven, from cancer. Her little waggle stays with me whenever I hear the song. 

To me, Bruce was the frontman of Runrig. I like that he had to learn the Gaelic songs. It was his passion for the music that resonates most. 

I hope that his family take a small comfort, in a huge loss, from our shared memory, respect and gratitude for the part he played in our lives which is tiny compare to their loss.
