Our story

Unfortunately, our Runrig story is also very short, but it is a very emotional journey for us. It actually started completely unspectacular in 2017. We were big fans of Celtic music back then. By chance I was watching a documentary about Scotland and “Hearts of olden Glory” was playing in the background in a Celtic version. I immediately fell in love with this song and searched for a version online. How could it be otherwise, the first thing I heard was POTM's version, it hit me like lightning and I was blown away by this beautiful voice. Then I searched for all the songs I could find by Runrig and Bruce and with each song I fell more in love with this band. Of course I infected my husband with my euphoria, so we were at the first concert at the Loreley in 2017 and I could only think of one thing. I had found my soul bond. Sadly, shortly afterwards the news came that Runrig was quitting and I was devastated. Luckily we were able to experience Berlin and Stirling twice. Over the next few years we had to deal with a number of blows of fate and the only thing that gave me strength during this time was the music of Runrig and Bruce. Each time they managed to get me out of the slump and move on. I am eternally grateful for that. I was never lucky enough to meet Bruce in person and we didn't really have any other contact, but when the news came that he was gone forever, it knocked the rug out from under me. I always hoped that one day I would be able to tell him how much I love his voice and how much strength he has given me in my life. I am so deeply saddened and feel for everyone who knew and loved him, especially his wife Kim and his wonderful children. I hope you manage to get through this difficult time. And even though heaven now has one more angel, his music, his aura and his legacy will live on forever in our hearts. Thanks for everything Bruce 💙 God bless you 💙
