Suns coming out

The first time i heard Bruce sing, he was alone, sitting on a chair on the stage of the Winspear in Edmonton. From the moment he began i was mesmerized and describes his performance to friends as ...a man, his guitar and his soul...were onstage. I bought his CD, he signed and we chatted. Me a stranger..he made me feel like a friend. My husband is from Cape Breton said, oh ya, that's Bruce from Cape Breton. My next experience was listening to Bruce at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival...he was playing on a side stage...it was an overcast drizzly day...he sang the words...suns coming out...and honestly at that very moment the clouds parted, a big sunbeam shone down

him...he stopped looked at all of us with that twinkle and great smile as if to say how cool is this...then when visiting my husbands aunt she showed us a video of runrig and i was blown away and forever hooked.  I often smiled at Bruce's two worlds...the rock star fame in Europe and the humble hometown kid being asked if he wanted to grab a guitar and join in at a kitchen party in Cape Breton.
