Bruce - one big family man
Created by Bruce one year ago
I remember seeing Bruce for the first time in Bristol in October 1998. I think it was his first English gig with Runrig. He appeared a little nervous, but the minute he launched into ‘The Cutter’, the link between him, the rest of the band and the fans was established, never to be broken. I have watched Runrig all over Europe for over 30 years. Bruce was the voice for much of that time. He has bought many a moment when needed to my life, both with Runrig but also singing solo including at Christmas, when he ‘Bound us all to Bethlehem’. His photo from the Final Mile tour is the only one of any singer with pride of place on my living room wall.
At this time I reflect on all the fond memories and Golden Stories Bruce has created for us as a family - my sons are named Callum & Rory and my name is Bruce. Our thoughts are with his own family, Kim, Dylan & Jodie, and with his extended Runrig family; especially Rory, Calum, Malcolm, Iain, Brian, Mark and Pete.
RIP Bruce, always remembered, never forgotten
