I only met Bruce once on his first Runrig tour in 1998 (the photo was taken in Bristol, UK). He was a true gentleman who really cared what the Runrig fans thought but still determined to be himself. He told me fhe back story to his song Iveys Wall. About 4 years later, he sang This Time of Year at a Runrig gig, and i have long associated this song with the death of my mother when i was 10 years old. The gig was also on the anniversary of my mums passing. I wrote to Bruce, not even knowing if the letter would reach him, telling him how i felt that night he sang that song. He replied and said some kind words. A true giant who cared! RIP Bruce ❤️
