I was privileged to be invited as a guest to the premier! My Dad and I went to the Stirling as we had to many gigs before. As a child on his shoulders in Carlisle and on my birthday in the outer hebrides. It was so fitting for me to take my Dad along as he had me in my younger days. To my delight I met lots of school friends enjoying the night with their parents. Of course I had my own challenge. 10 days before I'd gone through major surgery so my Dad was literally holding me up. So back to my memory of Bruce .... I shared my story of rhe final dance with friends and somehow I ended up in touch with Iain Bayne. My actual hero! Long story short I found myself on the back stage steps with Bruce and we had the most surreal chat about retirement, he rightly told me that a musician never retires!! Sing and perform on Bruce....
