My first introduction to Runrig and indeed Bruce came through my dad introducing me to the music, soon after this i secured some tickets to a show in Greenock Town hall. Seeing Bruce and the band first hand within touching distance i was completely moved by the connection between Bruce, the band and the fans, from them on i followed near and far, also following Bruces solo career and indeed the song a few years back in the height of covid which Bruce released typified the man as he recognised through the gift of music, what makes a hero.
Then we were connecting over social media to hear songs by Bruce and his family during those difficult months and the sense of connection and hope that was given again through the power of Bruce's words and music. An incredibly gifted man who i am honoured and privileged to have experienced spending time in the presence of even be it amongst several thousand others
What makes a Hero? Well to me Bruce is and always will be just that. God Bless you Bruce and all your family.
No matter where we go from here, no matter what we do we will always take a little bit of that night with us, that means we will always take a little piece of each other with us.🗣
There must be a place under the sun ❤️
Somewhere.
